Take Your Child to Work Day

National Take Your Child to Work Day is scheduled for this Thursday, April 24th. No official PSD activities are scheduled for this day. This day is designed to help students between the ages of 8 and 15 make the connection between what they do in school and what career they may choose in the future. The day should be designed to introduce students to the world of a parent's career and the wide array of skills and services needed to support it.

Students should have a written excuse stating that they were participating at the parent's workplace in order to have their absence excused. Staff members who bring their child to work should have the principal's or supervisor's permission and should observe the age range.
